The dial tightens up the inner band. The chin strap and removable EPS foam liner help hold the helmet on and add impact protection. The rear safety light has 3 modes and lasts 20+ hours. All children's helmets are designed in the UK and Mini Lids are compliant with both CPSC and EN1078 guidelines for USA and EU Markets. Mini Lids are a bit--no, A LOT--cooler than most kids' bike helmets, and actually are something they will want to wear. Fully adjustable, comfortable, and lightweight, these children's bike helmets protect them while they ride and play. Designed to shield the forehead, top, back and sides of the head. Cutaways expose the ears, so hearing isn't blocked. The front doesn't restrict peripheral vision. Airholes in the top and back are big enough for ventilation, and won't reduce protection.
